Local dog grooming company does a great job, say customers

I would like to say thank you to a local company. In this day and age no one remembers to say thank you.

There is a local company that The Breeze had done a story on a few months ago called ZPup Dog Spa & Boutique (600 George Washington Highway, Lincoln). They are a dog grooming facility, started out by a local man who traveled in his van to groom animals.

After reading your article, we called and made an appointment for our golden retriever Abby to be groomed. We have been several places with Abby. Abby is a "special" dog. She is a service animal, in which she cares for my husband, and his disabilities and needs. It is important for Abby to be groomed and trimmed appropriately. All of the grooming facilities, had done an "O.K." job. She was never really happy about going in to be groomed, and never really came out the way we wanted her to.

When we first entered Zpup, the atmosphere was completely different from other places. Even Abby noticed the difference. She was happy just being in there. We dropped her off, and about half an hour before she was finished, we received a phone call that she would be ready. When we went in to pick her up, we expected her to look as she normally did after being groomed, however, we were completely astonished. She looked amazing. Her paws were perfect, her nails trimmed beautifully, and her coat wash so shiny and soft it was amazing.

But most off all she was actually happy. She looked beautiful and she knew it. Goldens are difficult to trim as their hair is long and every incorrect cut shows. She was perfect. We couldn't believe our eyes. We have taken her back again for the second time today, and I have to say she was just as beautiful this time as the first. The only difference is this time, when we arrived she remembered where she was and was thrilled to go in, she practically ran through the door, and her tail was going a mile a minute. It is nice to see that these people actually not only take the time with each individual animal, but also know what they are doing. It shows through not only on the animal, but also in their attitudes. When a dog is happy to go into a grooming facility, you know you have a keeper. So thank you to The Valley Breeze for doing the article on them, but also thank you to Zpup for doing an amazing job on grooming the dogs, and caring and believing in what you are doing.

Question/comment: Just wanted to let you know what a great experience my daughter Morgan and I had a ZPup!  We had a great bonding experience washing Corgi #1 Ms.Gidget and at the end of it all I had nothing to clean, no hair to pick up no towels to wash, no getting mad that my bathroom has been destroyed. I can't wait to return next week with Corgi #2
Mr. Mojo.  ZPUP is the ZBEST! 

We had a new experience last weekend. I took Monty to a dog spa and we used the self wash bathing/drying suites. It was great, no lifting, no mess and no 150 lbs of wet dog in the house!!! Monty enjoyed it also. The water was the perfect temp and the dryers were not hot. Highly recommended... .anybody near Lincoln. Rhode Island Check it out ZPup is located on GW Highway.

Just wanted to say thanks again for helping my husband and me find some warm gear for Reggie.  He is strutting his stuff and getting lots of nice compliments on his jacket.  We took a picture of him with his "camo" jacket on and he has ended up on the French Bulldog Village web site.

Our little "Israel" - a now 18 week old Mal-Shi puppy has had the time of her life coming to your Spa and Boutique! As you know, we decided to have her first grooming done by you, and she could not have looked any more beautiful. We were nervous taking her for her first cut not knowing if she would be cut into a style of our liking.  As it turned out, she ended up looking cuter than when we bought her! The groomer did an
unbelievably precise job on her hair and nails and she smelled like she had literally come from a day at the spa! And coming from two people who strive for perfection, you are the best! Your boutique has some of the most interestingly chic to sporty looks I have EVER seen for a dog!
We bought a very preppy harness from the shop and have received nothing but compliments on the fun yet sophisticated look! But what Israel has started looking forward to are your delicous handmade doggy gourmet treats that look so yummy with yogurt coating and sprinkles that she finds
them irrestible!

We will be back I assure you for every spa grooming treatment and complete the day of beauty by shopping in your boutique!
