Most grooming takes approximately 3-4 hours.  Several variables affect the amount of time your pup will be our guest, such as the condition, length, and texture of your pet's hair, the size and behavior of your pet, etc.  We do our best to schedule the appointments by staggering the "IN" times so that the groomers are able to begin working on your pet immediately.  As a result of those staggered "IN" times, the amount of time your pet is here is reduced.  We will call you when there is about a half hour left of grooming to be done on your pet, so he/she won't have to be here longer than necessary.  We like to take our time to do a beautiful job, and your pet will remain more relaxed if they don't sense we are in a rush, so please allow us all the time we need to do the job correctly.

Please give 24-hour advance notice in the event of a cancellation or reschedule.  After 2 cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment, we must ask customers to prepay a non-refundable deposit for future appointments.  This deposit will go towards the balance of your grooming fee.

At ZPUP we take your pet's health and safety very seriously and will not demat very badly matted dogs at the discretion of the groomer.  Badly matted dogs will be shaved down if possible and if the mats are too close to the skin to safely shave, extra brushing and dematting will occur.  We allow 15-30 minutes for brushing or dematting and any dog requiring more than this amount of brushing or dematting will be subject to extra fees.  These possibilities will be discussed with you at check in or by phone call before services are performed and could amount to $30 per hour.

Senior and special-needs pets are welcome, however, their comfort comes first and foremost in the planning of their grooming.  When your pet checks in, we will discuss appropriate grooming options.  Throughout the groom, your pet's safety and comfort take precedence over cosmetic desires.

Prices are based on a dog's size, coat condition, and temperament.  All prices displayed in ZPUP, on our website, or given verbally are estimates based on breed standards and dogs who are groomed at intervals agreed upon by the groomer.  Extra fees include overweight dogs, matted or severly unkempt coats, or difficult dogs.

We reserve the right to assess a $15 day care fee to any dog left more than one hour after the 30-minute pick up call.  Please discuss particular situations with us prior to your appointment.

YOU KNOW YOUR DOG BEST -- If your dog is matted, has any medical issues, or anything else of concern, please bring it to our attention.

ZPUP reserves the right to refuse service at any time and for any reason.
